It would be (would have been) helpful to have the manual before class began. While the concepts are basic in Level 1, it’s probably much more important to understand the physiology prior to a more advanced class, e.g. Level 2.

Joe did a great job. Personable, approachable. He did a good job explaining the theory part. He did a good job managing the class, ensuring the students knew where to go, when to be there, and with what equipment. The pool session was good. His demonstrations and critiques were helpful and constructive. He also did a good job during the open water session, ensuring manageable group size so he could provide individual coaching and critiques.

David Fritch is a fantastic instructor. He goes over and above to make sure everyone has a great and safe experience. I had never done any diving when I walked into the course, but he instills a lot of confidence and stays with you every step of the way. He helped me work through all the different issues I encountered with patience. I highly recommend him and the course!
